Choose the Right Backup Generator

Portable generators are typically not

strong enough to power an entire home.

Due to this fact, it is your role to decide

which appliances you plan/need to use

during an occurance of a power outage.

Once you decide which electrical

appliances within your home you want

to use we can help you calculate

exactly how much power they require.

Find a generator whose running wattage

is large enough to power these

appliances.

In most cases, you will want a standalone

backup

generator that has a running wattage

between 4,400 and 10,000 watts.

Generators with performance ratings

lesser than 4,000 watts are normally

too small/weak to power a home during

any type of power outage.

A Generator with a less than 4,000 watt

rating cannot start many appliances.

Generators larger than 10,000 watts are

often expensive, difficult to move, noisy,

and will not work with the GenerLink

transfer switch.Once you have found the

portable generator you plan to purchase,

check that it is compatible with the

GenerLink by using the link below.
